| 1.) after school started, i was sososo overwhelmed (even though i'm only taking ONE AP, crazykids..-_-). partly because last year i had at least 6-7 hours of sleep EVERY NIGHT, but this year i'm lucky if i even get that many. and i cried everyday and i was nervous and rushed and completely out of it. but then my mom told me all this stuff about trusting in God for everythingg . and i've been learning to do that, to trust that he'll take care of me nomatter what, and that he's not going to let me do something that I can't handle. and if i can't handle it, he'll handle it for me. how great He is. <3 seriously, i can't even understand how people get through each night without Jesus. i would've been completely broken down by now, and i'd probably quit. during devotions one of those nights, He gave me a couple verses that spoke directly to me : 2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things and at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 12:9 "But [Jesus] said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore i will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2.) i've found the reason why i'm here. why my mom and sister are 300 miles away, why i live with my dad and not my mom, why it seems like i'm the only sane person in my socal family. now i actually have something to fight for, and it's so exciting. :] 3.) school has made my relationship with my parents better. kinda weird, but i actually talk to them and tell them things now. and they're nicer to me too. like when i overslept from a nap one time and woke up really stressed out because i had to finish homework, my stepmom made my dinner for me and brought it to me. and when i needed something for orchesis, she told me not to worry about it, and that she'd get it for me. and my dad spent like .. hours trying to help me with chem and mandarin and fixing computer problems. just these little things. <3 family is so much more important than school. don't take them for granted, guys. 4.) today, my dad and i were sitting at the dinnertable eating freshly baked chocolate chip cookies on squares of tin foil, while discussing an intersting/confusing criminal movie we just watched. after finishing our cookies, both of us simultaneously picked up our foil squares and licked the remaining chocolate off. i guess it's an instinct that runs in the family. these fun little moments don't come often with my dad. <3 HOW SWEET. | july 2 - july 21st was my first trip ever out of the country :] it was soso niceeeee... major cities i went to: tainan, kending, taidong, hualian, yilan, guishandao, and taipei reflections: -flight attendants are SOSO pretty and have supercool hair-dos :]
-lane markings on the roads are merely suggestions
-obedience to traffic laws are foreign to these people
-WHAT STOP SIGN ?? as my uncle said, "you make your own definition to the red lights" -_-
-some of the dirtiest places have the best food. and of course, the nicest places too
-way to beat jetlag: night markets!
-interestingggggg smells EVERYWHERE..
-thank God for AC. it is frikkin HUMID.
-scootercycle thingies everywhereeee ...and they were masks.. LOL my dad said each one produces the same amount of air pollution as ten cars! ><
-7elevens in Taiwan are like ABC Stores in Hawaii
-i've never done so much mental math in my lifeeeeee .. trying to find out how much everything costed in the US, and figuring out what time it was in America .. that was painful to the brain.
-i saw Venus Jupiter and Saturn in the sky!
-tainan has the oldest street in taiwan
-churches here are pretty nice
-quickest way to gain weight: eat a large meal every two hours, and then have a SUPERLARGE 8course dinner. and then come home and eat again.
-07/07/07 was a good day :] spending time with funny relatives you haven't seen for years = satisfying :]
-27 degrees celcius is the optimum sleeping temperature
-the fruits there are SOSOSOSOSOSO good <3 <3 <3 . the food in general. my love <3
-horizontal traffic lights are the stupidest things ever. you can't even see them !!
-CRAPTALKING THE STEPMOTHER WITH RELATIVES. hahahaha sososoo funny :]
-grandma's sibling's are soso cute. and child-like at heart. :]
-beach-front hotel room = <3
-looking at the day's pictures every night = :]
-i discovered new ways to kill mosquitos ! :] yayay
-if you go to taiwan, you hafto take time to look at the scenery. it's sucha beautiful place!
-you can feed NINE adults really really good food and still have a BUNCHH of leftovers with $25 U.S. wowowoww..
-i've never sweated so much in my life, especially in the boobs. LOl
-i found LOVESTORYINHARVARD! on TV, but the chinese voiceovers ruin it. i told my grandma, and she said she watched it too !! she likes the SooIn because she's cute :]
-taipei 101 is gonna be beaten as the world's tallest soon..
-taipei 101 has the fastest elecators on earth! they go at 1010 m/min i think . TURBOSPEED!
-the garbage trucks sing songs and they get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. haha
-i came close to eating a chicken testicle, but then i chickened out. my uncle was like "mm! so creamy!" . -_-
-kending's main street had an explosion a couple days after we left
-scariest moment of taiwan:
so me&em wanted to get some exercise, so we climbed the stairs to the 8th floor garden/balcony thing. it was all dark and we wanted to see the city lights. and so we walk out to the edge and we see something on the side, so we look and there's a WHEELCHAIR. a black scary one with a headrest and everything!! then i scream , and em screams, and we both scream and RUNN back down. >< it was frikkin creepyyyy ..
-new record: i got hiccups 5 times in one day ><
-frikkin couldn't poo for forever -_- but then when i got home i emptied myself 
-i got a LITTLE darker! even though nobody thinks so.
-met a fellow arcadian who lives one street away, on 5th! :]
-you'd think i'd be an expert at goodbyes by now, but i suck at themm :[
-best trip everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. bonding <3

-lots of interesting and yummy things :]
-almost fainted from carsickness. it felt HORRIBLEEE ... i wanted to throw up but i couldn't, and my lips turned white and things started getting blurry like when your TV gets blurry . ugh.
-literally laughing til tears came out. so much fun!
-eating so much that my stomach hurt. i never knew that was actually possible >< 
haha yay. gotta love the squatty potties ! :]

| sophomore year ended sooooo super nicely, like the cherry on a banana split sundae with a huge wheel of cheese on the side. :]
-relay for life on saturday:
 -finals on tuesday, wednesday, and thursday, which i am extremely happy with :]
-tika house after school ended for the last time! then ashley's :] that was super duper dee duper fun (even though we didn't play wii !! ). conclusion: guys are gross creatures. lOl . saw a dead squirrel on the way to kritika's:

`going in the oceannn . it was SO super salty, but so super funn !! thanks to the guys, daniel and kenny especially, for getting us in there and watching out for us :] (and i guess jasper too, his jokes were somewhat funny. lOl). i love the waves, and trying to find places in the sand to stand on. <33
